We believe that integrity is one of the most important qualities in life. That’s why we strive to be honest with both the IRS and with you. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do. Also, we don’t want the IRS to penalize you.
We said honest – not laid-back. Don’t confuse the two – we’re as aggressive as the law allows while still maintaining the highest integrity. The tax code is written so as to reward people who are knowledgeable about the details. And the difference between being aggressive and being laid-back is in knowing and applying the details of tax code so as to minimize tax liability.
Our business philosophy can probably best be summed up by a quotation from Judge Billings Learned Hand, a federal judge in the early 1900s.
“Over and over again courts have said that there is nothing sinister in so arranging one’s affairs as to keep taxes as low as possible. Everybody does so, rich and poor, and all do right, for nobody owes any public duty to pay more than the law demands: taxes are enforced exactions, not voluntary contributions.”
If you want to give the US Treasury a contribution of extra taxes each year, we’re probably not the right firm for you. However, if you want to pay only what you’re legally obligated to pay, and not a penny more, then please call us for a free consultation!
About David Dvorak CPA
How much money will I need to save for my child’s education? When should I refinance my mortgage? How do I plan for retirement? Should I invest in a retirement plan? How will my Social Security work? What’s this strange tax form I’ve received? As Clearwater accounting professionals, these are some of the common concerns that are posed to us on a daily basis. At David Dvorak CPA, we know that planning for your financial future can be confusing and overwhelming. Our mission is to provide you with the information you need to help you make informed decisions about your financial situation. When it comes to your finances, there’s no substitute for timely professional advice. Often it will save you more than it costs. Here at David Dvorak CPA we believe that our relationship with you should be built on giving you sound advice when you ask for it.
I started DvorakCPA in 2011 because I was tired of the service, or lack of service, that traditional accounting companies provide to their clients. We don’t just fill out forms – there’s software for that. Almost anyone with a rudimentary education in taxes can fill out forms. We go beyond that.
I was working for a local firm in Clearwater in 2010, and I noticed that we were letting clients slip through the cracks. Do you know the feeling? Your CPA never gives you tax advice or wants to know more about your life or business. When you try to reach him/her, you have to go through a secretary, who then probably sends you to a voicemail. Who knows if and when he’ll call you back?
We’ll call you back promptly, because when you’re thinking about a transaction, you may not have a week to find out what the tax consequences will be. You need to know right away. We can provide you with solid advice – because our ultimate goal is to help you be prosperous and happy.
